It is no secret that it's important for children to acquire plenty of exercise every single day. Some professionals state that children should be finding a the least a minimum of One hour of vigorous play daily. I would agree that needs to be the absolute minimum number. I remember fondly the days once i would leave the house and play all day- (8 hours or even more.) Today is unique though which is increasingly nearly impossible to find our youngsters off of the couch and off the video gaming and obtain them outside. This is among the allies for your dramatic boost in obesity. - Brandweerman Sam
So what is the solution? Do we kick them out of the house and tell them to not come back till dinner? Probably much less I know I would not do that to my 6 and seven yr old daughters based on the potential questions of safety. Get them involved in an organized sport perhaps? Sure this is a good idea, but then you have the argument which our kids today are heavily scheduled in organized activities which both cost money and involves me carting them around everywhere. I do feel that organized activities are good for kids, but have children forgotten the way to leave the house and play? Video games and Cable TV make it too possible for kids to only wallow in it and relax.
Below are a few ideas that might help. Here are a few active games your kids can enjoy. They are fun, they are able to do them both at home and they are going to get some good well need exercise along the way.
Game #1 Fitness Bingo This game is played the same as regular Bingo but exercises are added. First you have to designate each letter in the word B.I.N.G.O. For example the letter "B" will =10 Lunges, "I" will=5 Push-ups and "N" will= a 20sec hamstring stretch. You obtain the idea. What happens is that if each time a BINGO number is known as out and the player doesn't have that number to the board they need to do that designated exercise.
Game #2 Obstacle Course- This is one thing that can easily be done outside, inside or both. Simply generate a challenging course and explain to you it. It will be best to time the program to see if they can improve with each and every attempt.
Game #3 Bowling Pin Relay- This can be a game that requires lots of running and a few throwing skill as well. Take one particular plastic toy bowling pins or some plastic cups can do the secret. Place 5 roughly consecutively spread apart by about 3 feet. Next have a football as well as other ball and increase to a designated spot about 15 feet in the row of pins and attempt to knock one pin down at any given time. After each throw attempt the thrower must gather up ball and run everything just how to a starting line some 25-35 feet behind the throw line. This is a good game for a bigger group but can assist even just one player against the clock. - Brandweerman Sam
